There are three wedding vendors aka wedding team members I believe newly engaged couples should really focus on booking first. These are vendors that book up extremely quickly. The last thing you want is to reach out to a vendor that you’ve been dying to work with and find out they’re unavailable for your wedding date.
Once you’re ready to start booking your core wedding dream team, here are the three I think you should focus on right away:
- Wedding Planner: Wedding planners can book up to two years in advance. Crazy, right? Whether you’re looking for someone to help you from the get-go or you’re only interested in booking a planner to manage your wedding day, you really need to get your wedding date locked in as soon as possible so they can block it off their calendars. Most importantly, you want to make sure you love the planner you choose to work with. This person will either be with you every step of the way or this person will ultimately be responsible for making sure your wedding day vision comes to life so make sure you choose the right person for you.
- Venue: No venue? No wedding date. It’s as simple as that. Your venue will drive your wedding date decision and your ability to book other members of your wedding dream team. I suggest you start touring your dream wedding venues as soon as you can.
- Photographer: Photography is a must for any wedding (IMO) and more often than not, couples have been following their favourite photographer for a very long time. Wedding photographer are another vendor that can book up over a year in advance. Listen, your wedding photos are one of the tangible pieces of your wedding you can keep forever, reminisce about on your wedding anniversaries, and show your children in the future. You want to make sure you get a photographer whose work you truly admire and whose personality you really vibe with to capture the special moments of your special day.
